What is file attribute "A"?

Every morning my database produces a backup file. It is a text file. Recently we upgraded to Windows 2003 server. Now when I view the backup files' details, I see a column called "attributes". Each morning, the newest file has the attribute "A". The files don't seem to be damaged, but I am curious.

What does the "A" mean?
