I wanted to Check if the attendant is available (as was suggested by BKRIKE)for Alt Language (posted 13 April 2005)
here is the problem
if the caller select the main language and did not make any selection (rotary phone), the call will ring on reception phone and upon no answer, the call is routed to reception mail box
if the caller select the Alt. language and did not make any selection(rotary phone), , the system says the call will disconnected, Good by..
Once the caller presses 9 to select the alternate language the system recognizes them as a touch tone caller. If they do not select an option the system will assume that they are no longer there and hang up.
To alleviate hang ups for the alternate language callers, at the end of the menu prompt or PATH 0 of the CCR tree record a few extra seconds of silence, or prompt "Please make your selection now".
