The following is based on Business Objects XI R2:
Cached Dynamic Cascading Prompts: Are a Cascading List of Values (LOV) that have been scheduled and stored (Cached) within the CMS. With BOXI R2 you can create a Dynamic List of Values within the "Business View Manager". This LOV will then be dynamic (Updated as the Data Changes) and available for multiple reports. The "Caching" is an extra feature that allows you to cache LOV, based on a large data set, within the CMS. This is particularly useful if the LOV are based upon a transaction database field.
