Did out Purple Stars go away for a reason? How can we properly acknowledge good work without our favourite Tek-Tips currency?

I have only been a member of this group for a week or so, and I must confess I did not see anything unmanageable with the way it was.

If you have someone who is not going by the rules, you can red flag him/her and Dave or Doug are on it. We have had to do that from time to time in the crystal fora.

I recently changed my forum to become an invite-only forum. Unfortunately, this also disabled the "award a star" function. Because awarding stars is a useful feature in wordplay, I changed my group back to public. However, the function has not returned. Would you please perform your magic to allow purple stars to be awarded in the Wordplay forum?

Hahaha, TheRambler! I totally forgot about that. When I read it in this thread I didn't even recognize it as having been my own phrase.

Notice the "invisible" part... intentionally added so no one could complain they could not actually SEE the stars I had awarded.
