On my event log I get this message:
The PsiKDF service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

I have not found anything on the internet that references this. Please help O mighty computer gods.

What does PsiFDK mean and how do I get rid of this error?

I don't know what it is, but take a look in

Control Panel -> Services

and see if its listed as Automatic.

If it is, set it as manual and that'll stop the computer from starting each time the comptuer boots up.

since it doesn't show up having anything to do with microsoft, i'd assume its 3rd party... Anti-virus? Back up? Peripherals?? Virus???

Find out what it is 1st, don't just turn it to manual...but sometimes ya have break a few eggs to make an omlette...

Looked at Services, can't find anything that says PsiFDK, or anything that looks like it.

Try under "Devices" then... Though I doubt it will be in there. [auto] MCSE NT4/W2K
