What do I need to install my own EPN

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this EPN project.

I have a G3si, Multivantage 11, with EAS and ACD. We currently run about 125 seats at our main site. I am looking to put up a 2nd site, about 60 seats and I want to extend my pbx to that location with full functionality. The 2nd site is about 2-4 miles away.

At this point I dont need survivability, but it would be nice.

I've tried my Avaya vendor, and the only option they have for me is an upgrade to the newest platform and software load, as they say EPNs are no longer supported.

So I'm looking at the refurb vendors and seeing if I can put up the EPN myself. I know I'm not licensed for survivable processor but that's ok for now. I just want the site working as extra capacity.

Other than port licenses for the extra stations, can anyone tell me what I need, or is there a detailed doc on all the parts and how-to install this?

For now, I figured I need:
1 x Expansion Control Cabinet J58890N
1 x Maintenance Circuit Pack TN775B
1 x TN2182 Tone Clock
1 x WP-91153 power supply
2 x Expansion interface TN570C (one for each site)
2 x DS1 Converter TN1654 (one for each site)

With the DS1 converter, I figure I can plug in 2-3 point to point T1s, giving me 69 simultanious conversations. As we are mostly ACD, this should suffice for 60 stations.

And the rest would be things like digital line cards and maybe PRI/DS1 cards. Am I missing anything?
For a single cabinet EPN, anyone have an idea what I would need for UPS?

The G3si does not support DS-1 remoted EPNs. Only the G3r, S8500, or S8700 does. For the G3si the only way to install the EPN would be over point-to-point multi-mode fiber. You will need two strands (transmit & receive) and, based on the distance you stated, a long-rang transceiver at each end.

An alternate solution might be a seperate system with DCS, BSR, and Call Center software.

You wouldn't need the PRI cards for your remote EPN. You can put them in your main switch and they will work fine as long as you just install this as an EPN. For the UPS I would recommend the APC products. If this is going to be a SCC cabinet then the Smart UPS 2200 would work fine. If this is going to be a MCC cabinet then the Smart UPS 5000 would be more in line.

I am going to go with 4merAvaya on this one. The cost of getting fiber from point A to point B is really going to be expensive. You may just want to connect another switch and be done with it. If you go ahead with this using the fiber to connect look to your local provider and see if they have some “dark fibers” you can buy or lease. That being the case, you would also have to add 2 fiber transceivers to your shopping list.
