From executive positions on down to the everyday worker? When I was military we had documentation stating our limits but how is it in the civilian world. I understand certain positions might require more space, but how about some averages?
It depends what's in the mailbox too,I've seen some people store movies and large photos so five emails could mean 40 megs. Going this route 5GB fills up quick.
My users are happy with 100MB, execs 500MB with retention set to 60 days for easier email recovery. The store size is 14GB for 40 users.
I fear my situation is out of control and my boss won't hear it because he's the main culprit. He's not a computer supervisor type, just the president of the company and highly against change or technology.
My upper bound on the bridgehead is 300,000KB inbound and no outbound
I raised it to 100MB a couple of years ago but people keep having legit requirements to go over it so now there's no outbound limit and the inbound is only there to stop DOS. But given the 7 users per fibre based spindle, the guy who built it is a star (me) and it is constantly monitored and worked on, I think I'm ok at the mo. We're only doing 14,000 emails a day over the bridgehead so its hardly strained.
