I trying to find out what the file/record size and the Network “Limitations” are of all versions of MS Access programs (97, 2000, and 2002). I tried looking for this information on the Internet and struck out!
We were running a program using Access 97 with over 366 records in it ok, just a little slow. Then my boss told me we had to upgrade to Access 2000 to speed up the program and make it a "Multi user" capable program. We did and now the program runs even slower! Some programmer’s told him that we must go to Microsoft Sequel to make the program run faster. Access 2000 can’t do it.
I don’t believe the programmers! I believe they are just trying to sell us on using Microsoft Sequel so that I can’t access the program data like I can now.
Can some help me? mike_e@msn.com
