Has anyone seen this before, or am I really out of it? :)

Why on some '97 systems (not all?) does this happen

from a QBE in the criteria section why are the two statements different.

1.) <>4 or Is null (produces 51 lines)
2.) <>4 or IsNull([FieldName]) (produces 26)

Conversely, why does this happen

Is Null or <>4 produces the same view as #2

Thanks for your help

Rusty

Need to look at the Where Clause to see how the criteria is being applied. Please paste in the where clause for the 3 scenarios. This can be found in the SQL View when designing the query.
