I've tried everything I can think of.. reinstall Office, reinstall printer drivers.. reinstall video drivers.. fonts.. among other things and still can't figure this out.

The problem is when our secretary is doing mail merging with a standard letter sometimes it works fine, other times it prints the entire line of text in the space of 1 character (see picture: It only seems to happen on mail merges. She can do it with 50 letters or just two or three and it has the same chance of happening. Sometimes the first one or two will print out fine and then the rest are looking like the image above.

Here's the specs on everything involved:
Office 2000-SP2
OS: Windows 98 SE
CPU: Pentium II 350
Memory: 64 MB
Video card: Nvidia Riva 128 onboard
Printer: HP LaserJet 2100TN networked via DirectJet/Windows NT4 Server.

Anyone have any idea what might be going on here?
Thanks,
Todd

I updated the driver for the printer and we'll see if that works. I also installed another printer (Laserjet 8000) on her machine and told her to use that one instead for mail merges and that'll rule out a faulty printer driver.

One thing I forgot to mention.. after this happens, when she goes back to the document on her pc and scrolls around a bit, the screen will actually show the same stuff that's printed.

She's not using textboxes, just the usual text fields for address, name, etc. I'm fairly sure she knows how to mail merge since that's a better part of her job but who knows.
