Hi ssPhoenix,
Take a look at this site: which adds free search functionality to your site. To see an example of it working go to and try the search function there.
This is by far the easiest way to implement a search function, though of course you can build one from scratch using ASP or something similar, if you have the time and patience.

Try either:
and choose either PERL or PHP and download some scripts from the 'site search' category, these are free and some of them are excellent.
