I have IE5.5 SP2 and aol5. When I try to get to some sites using IE they will only load partially or they time out. The same sites will usually load ok thru AOL. Of course I delete the browser cache to try a site a second time. IE5.5 has been reinstalled and repaired. WHAT'S UP?

Try running the IE repair tool option. If that doesn't work, try removing and reinstalling TCP/IP. AOL uses their own version of it, so go into the netstack, remove TCP/IP, reboot, rename 5 .386 files (vip, vdhcp, vtdi, vnbt, vtcp) and reinstall. Before you do so, make sure you have the cabs on your pc, and if not, grab your cd. Good luck, and I hope this helped. s-)
