I recently took over the network here and we have a Cisco 6513 witht the firewall module. I used to be able to log into the web interface to setup the firewall but cannot log into it or ping it anymore. Any way to restart it? I dont know much about Cisco other than the basics (turning ports on/off, saving configs, etc).

Thanks,
Kyle K

use a console cable to connect to it and see if it has been turned off. post a sanitized config and someone can help you with the commands to get it back on.

I can log into it via SSH, do I still have to connect a console cable?

no, "show run" and then copy the running config and post it. clean it up (mask the first octets of ips and remove passwords) first though

Hope this helps, there was more to it, all of the ports but I ommitted those entries. Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks

The web interface is set up already it just appears to have stopped working I just need to figure out how to restart it.

I AM AN IDIOT!

apparently you have to connect to it via secure http ( I wasnt, thanks for your help though.

i actully thought about saying that, but then i figured you already tried that.

no big deal, i have done the same thing twice so far this month and it isn't even halfway over yet.
