Web Client Server 3.1 to Web Client Server 5.1 Upgrade??

Is this possible? Or do we have to uninstall 3.1 and install 5.1?

The problem I'm facing is that I have (5) MM's all at 3.1, (1) MM at 4.0 and (1) MM at 5.1. I'm hosting 3.1 Web Client Server on a standalone W2K3 server, but the MM 5.1 cannot talk to it (3.1 and 4.0 work fine).

So I was going to upgrade the W2K3 server to use Web Client Server 5.1 in hopes that the 3.1 & 4.0 MMs would be able to talk, but I can't find any supporting documentation out there. I only find upgrading from 5.0 to 5.1...

Anyone go through this is and could offer up some advice?

Ya - I jumped the gun to post before I opened the ports on the MSS...
