We have the Netware SBS 5.1 (with 25 licenses). This morning, I started getting the message:

Server-5.0-3651 [nmID=50020]
POLICY MANAGER -- (5.00-051) : Server License Expired for Novell NSBS51 Server 5.1

When I looked at the license through the license manager, it says that the license expires 12/31/2003. I had no idea this was not an indefinite license. This was not an evaluation license and, of course, the vendor I bought it from is long gone. What do I do?

Hi,

Sounds to me that the person who installed your licenses installed the dealer/reseller version, which time bomb at the end of the year. The only thing that you can do is to call and purchase licenses. I would also call Novell to see what they can do for you.

Maybe, except that it's been in place for several years (2? 3 perhaps?). I tried calling Novell, but they are closed for the holiday.
 
This error will also happen if you have evaluation licenses installed along side legitimate licenses.

Check your licenses in Nwadmin and check to see if any of them are evaluation and remove them.

I agree with Marvin. You probably have mixed corect licenese with evaluation (maybe your dealer installed it before obtain corect for you).
The second error you can recive: when you logging to the server from workstation executing login script any map of drive give you error 8019.
To solve this problem you have to remove all licenses even that corect
and then add corect. I solved this problem many times and it is only one good working way.
