Extensions that are restricted from receiving DID calls are receiving them via our auto attendant. Is there a way to stop this?

I havent done it in awhile but if you put them either on a different Switch or Community ID they wont be able to get to them.

On the COR of the station, u make it so that can't recieve any calls, is that what u want, or just not calls extended by the operator? They can still make calls if that is what is needed.

NX01,
Community ID is an AUDIX setting. Not sure how that would apply.

orypecos,
The phones I'm trying to keep from getting inbound calls have a COR that restricts public calls. ie,
Called Party Restriction: public
Thus, an attempt to make a call direct to an extension is redirected to the live attendant.
Calls to the auto-attendant can transfer to the extension.

Hi Richard,

I have done a work around to block incoming calls on a extension by following the process below:

1) Go to page 3 of the DID trunk (cha tru xx) and
a) enter public/network in the service/feature column
b) Enter the length of the DID number in the lenght column
c) Enter the no. of digits u want to delete in the next
d) Enter the digits (not matching the DID no.) in the insert digits space

2) Record an announcement (a busy tone) and use cha sys fea command to enter the announcement number at
" DID/Tie/ISDN Intercept Treatment: xxxx " where xxxx is the announcement

However, this has a minor glitch. If a person calls for an invalid DID number, the call will not go to the attendent.

Anyways, u win some. U lose some.

Try checking the below setting on the FEATURE-RELATED SYSTEM PARAMETERS page:
Attendant Originated Calls: external If you have the station restricted inward this should stop them from receiving the attendant calls. IT MIGHT STOP ALL ATTENDANT CALLS. Test it and See

Hope this works
