Hi Guys,

I've just had someone do some greetings for me and now I want to upload to my Partner Messaging. All looks fine, the files are in a .wav format but I get the following when I try to upload to the system;

"The input WAVE file format is not supported by the PARTNER Messaging System Administration Application. The supported WAVE formats are GSM 6.10 8KHz or any PCM."

Any ideas what this actually means? Thanks in advance.

I hate to see posts left open ended especially when someone found the answer. Anyway, here's what it is.

The Partner System will only allow you to upload Wave GSM 6.10 8KHz files. Most of the regular wave files are Microsoft ADPCM. The only thing you can do is edit it. Luckily, Windows XP comes with an editor installed. Here are the instructions;

Go to: Start -> Accessories -> Entertainment - > Sound Recorder

Once the sound recorder opens, open the original file and save it as GSM 6.10. The quality goes down but at least it can be uploaded.

Anyway, that’s it. Hope it helps someone else.
