Does anyone know if there is a way to completely wipe out a dual port WIC card in a Cisco 2600? We basically installed this card and have been trying different configurations on it. I want to start fresh, as if I just put the card into the router. I can't completely wipe out the config on the router, because the Ethernet and Frame-Relay card are "live" on our network.
For instance, Port 1 is showing as "line looped", even though I have run the no loopback against it. It can't be picking up a remote loop, because, there is no cable connected to it. Plus, the loopback LED on that port is NOT lit.
I tried a microcode reload on the controller card to reload the firmware on both ports, and each one brings up a message before loading that the controller is in a looped state. The update doesn't seem to take place and now I get constant messages to the console:
"Controller T1 0/1 firmware not loaded"
Controller T1 0/2 firmware not loaded".
The router was even powered down and restarted.
Is there a chance that the WIC card is faulty?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
