I just deployed a windows 2003 server and loaded arcserve 11.1 with the baof agent and exchange agents. Now on my incremental b/u I get the job incomplete with the W3422 and w3402 warnings.

W3404 12/09/2004 10:58:33 AM 34 3 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\windows\system32\config\SYSTEM, EC=SHARING VIOLATION)

W3422 12/09/2004 10:58:33 AM 34 3 Unable to save the registry key. (KEY=SYSTEM, EC=NO SYSTEM RESOURCES)

Anybody might have an idea what might be tripping it up?

I am getting the same errors on 11.1, only on the software hive. Did you have any luck fixing your problem?
Thanks!

I am working with a CA second level tech support specialist and he is now contacting microsoft to open a case to try and figure it out.

I will let you what the outcome is later.

Just wondering if you have heard anything from CA about this problem. Thanks.

CA is going to send me a hotfix to address this issue. It is currently being tested by their QA dept. When I find out if it works, i'll email it to you.

Having the same issue as well: Unable to open the registry key. (KEY=SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\Properties, EC=ACCESS DENIED) D3421

Any resolution to this problem yet? Thanks!

I did finaly get a solution to this problem, I had a bad hive in a single registry key. It was controlset003, I contacted Microsoft and they sent a fixed hive which we imported and it works cleanly now.

Thanks Greenbay4! I will get with Microsoft and get the fix.
