W2KPro files cant be found on install? 1

When I try and install W2Kpro, I recieve the error that says:The file sspipes.scr was not copied correctly.
The file setup placed on your hard drive is not a valid windows 2000 system image.If you are installing from a cd there may be a problem with the cd.

I'm using my original disk and I can use it to install on my other pc.It finds many other files with the exact same problem.I click retry and it will eventually finish the install.Then when it finally boots up. I get blue screen.
Any suggestions would be greatley appreciated.

Sounds like your CD is indeed damaged. Have you another copy? If not then I am sure your reseller or MS will replace the said CD.

Before you do that have you made sure that the CD is clean?

You can try copying the CD contents to a Hard drive and installing it/burn a backup. It may be able to copy all the data without errors before it dies on you.

If CD is ok in other machines it suggests one of 2 things:-

1. CD drive on machine is not working properly
2. You have a hardware fault on the machine (these can manifest exactly as you are getting) - could be anything - I'd look at RAM first.

btw - have you ever had 2k installed on machine (or any other o/s)? If so, were there problems (another sign of hardware issues).

Well believe it or not after removing and reseating ram, that didnt fix it
Then I took out video card and tried another one and that was it, shux. I tried the video card in another machine and it crashed it as well.
CD was fine..
