Hi,

I have reproduced this several times and was wondering if anyone has come across this issue. I created an RDP connection to administer my W2K Terminal Server from my XP Professional workstation. When I establish a connection, the server either: 1. reboots 2. freezes with graphic corruption (vertical lines on the screen) 3. has this error:

Stop 0x0000007F (0x00000008, 0, 0, 0)UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

This error is a double fault most commonly caused by faulty hardware (occasionally software). Since the server is otherwise running quite nicely, and since I have caused the problem to recur only with my XP workstation using RDP, I was hoping someone else may have run across this problem.

TIA for your response.

Regards,

Mark.

Make sure remote control is enabled on your server.....

If the machine re-boots, right click my computer. Click on the advanced tab and select startup and recovery. See if the "Automatically re-boot" box is checked. If it is, uncheck it. That might help with part of the problem. Have you checked for error messages? Good luck.
