W2k SP3 compatibility with Citrix products 1

As of 5 weeks ago Win2K was not supported by Citrix, although they have since released a new client that fixes a problem with pass through Authentication, but this still needs a hotfix applying to the server, if you are running Metaframe 1.8 for 2000 SP3

chester is right. There is a bug to do with MS, not Citrix, that requires you to install FR2 before W2K SP3.
As it is a Microsoft problem, the FR3 will not fix it.
There is a "last chance" hotfix available from Citrix. Cheers,

I have not encountered this bug - I currently have two W2k SP3 servers in my test lab, and have had no issues installing FR2 or FR3 (Tech Preview) on either.
I would surmise that this is either an intermittent issue, or related to the fact that FR2 and FR3 both require the latest MSI installer package.
Could you please post a link to the article in question.

I am having simliar problems to this issue. My particulars are as follows:
I am running Citrix 1.8 on Windows 2000 SP3 and have been doing so for a little while now. I have decided to move to XP and have tried installing XP on one of my servers. I receive a 1720 error shortly after the install starts and the installation stops. Reviewing my server logs I see COM+ Event ID 4097 and DCOM Event ID 10010.
Researching both MS and Citrix sites I have reviewed the following:
CTX015294 - Method 1 points to MS Q304229 which wants you to call MS, since Q263900 seems to more specifically address the errors I'm getting I'm wondering if I should call MS for this hotfix they speak of, Method 2 seems
to have no effect - tried it with/without ... still get the error.
CTX764017 - there are five different possibilities, I have tried them all ... still get the error.
CTX457309 - remap drives, tried this twice since MS Q263900 seems to point to the above errors specifically ... still get the error.
MS Q286365 - in reference to event ID 4097 I have installed the latest MDAC ... still get the error.
I am wondering if it is a drive mapping issue, can I use the reverse map feature temporarily to install XP, then remap the drives back to their current setting. Any takers on this one?
My sys admin installed SP3 without saving the files for latter uninstallation so, there's no removing the SP.
Is my only other option (besides not having XP) to reinstall the OS and start from scratch?
If anyone has any comments, I'd love to hear them.

We have beeing running Citrix XPe with Win2k SP2 no problems. Installed it first time on identical build other than win2k sp3. Gets to updating system and an eror box appears minimised at the bottom of the screen click on this and there is nothing other than an ok button. This completes the install but options are missing from connection manager TCP-ICA etc. Fails to uninstall correctly also. any ideas ??

Just an FYI as there has been no other mention of 2K3 server from the original question.
I have been develpoing a client solution using Win 2K3 Server and Metaframe FR3 SP3 and have encountered no real issues yet. All seems to work just fine.The only snags are that Win 2K3 DOES NOT HONOR the embedded Terminal Server CAL's on the Win2K and XP clients. Just another Micro$oft money grab... Guess Bill needs a new golf cart...
The only other issue I have experienced is the auto deployment of the Web Client, It does not seem to drop the correct bits to the client and the web interface just delevers Java code (Opens in Front page if it is installed on the client) Manual installation of the web client works flawlessly on all client boxes from NT to 2K3.
