whats up, ive had a similar problem, only i am not connected to any network yet. My windows reboots unexcpectadly and provides me with a blue screen afterwards telling me that its either a driver, bios problem. If reset it works fine again. It seems to happen when a lot of processes are occurring at the same time.

Have you recently added any new services or hardware components?

Also, have you checked event viewer to determine if there are any warning messages that may identify the source(s) of the failure?

Was w2k installed as a fresh install or did you upgrade from NT 4? I ask this question as there may be NT 4.0 registry entries that are causing you challenges.

Hi, i have just checked the even viewer, one thing that keeps on re-occurring are the following

I wasnt using my cdrom, but this could be due to auto detect when i open windows explorer.

This is occurring quite frequently also

I dont understand the relevance of this. I havent added any new services or hardware components, and i have upgraded from win98

Hi,
I installed the Server upon the old installation - and now it has become stabil. But it's true that it has to do with newly installed soft-or hardware.
Let's look ans see over the next few days !!!!

It's better to make a clean installation - than to upgrade from win98
