This is my situation. We are currently using W2K on our desktops on an NT environment. Within a few weeks we are moving over to a W2K environment and the domain name is changing. I want all of my users to join the new domain but keep their profiles. All our profiles are stored locally on each machine, we have no need for roaming profiles. How do you keep an existing profile but join a differnt domain? I have tried copying the contents of one profile to another as administrator, but some programs seem to have a registry key for that specific user/profile.

Thanks for any help!!

You may have to change those entries manually in regedit by searching for the old user (olduser.olddomainname) and changing it to the new domain (newuser.newdomainname). Nate Gagne
