Hi,
I am unable to get clear info on this. Is it possible to access a W2003 sever from an W2000 workstation using Terminal Services. We have XP machines happily accessing via Terminal Services but cannot see how to set the W2000 desktop to also access the server. Any help very appreciated.
Regards Stephen

how many users do you have connecting at the same time?
Check your logs for errors concerning licensing...

Have you setup the licensing for terminal servers?

2000 CAN access 2003 TSE but you need valid TS CALs for each user.

if you only have 1/2 users you can use remote admin mode instead of application mode.

Aftertaf
We shall prevail, and they shall not

aftertaf,
Does XP have a built in TS CAL to access the 2003 TS?

Also, if you have a W2K Termial Server acting as an App Server and you place a 2003 DC will you need to obtain new TS CALs or will the 2000 Pro and XP machines continue to access the W2K App Server?

Thanks

Thanks aftertaf, I found the correct install for W2000 after a lot of searching (on a non Microsoft site). It installs straight off the XP disk "On the Windows XP CD, under \SUPPORT\TOOLS you'll find a file called MSRDPCLI.exe.." The trouble with the doocumentation on the Microsoft site was that it clearly listed an install that was for XP only. We had tried that but it screwed up the 2000 machine.

Cheers Stephen
