I have a w2000 workstation that has developed a problem over the weekend. I can't seem to get the system to complete the boot up process. The system appears to be completeing the process then it just restarts for no apparent reason. I've tried statrting up in safe mode but no luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try next? Does W2000 have a trouble shooting wizzard on CD-ROM? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Check your BIOS for actions taken when an error ocurs. I had a similiar problem with a new pc I built. Continued to boot over and over. Checking the BIOS, I had it set to reboot on errors. Changed it to halt on all errors and when I rebooted, I got a BSOD, which told me what was going wrong.

You might also want to run an anti-virus scan. Kinda sounds like Sasser.

Knock and the door will be opened to you; Seek and you will find; Ask and it will be given to you! [peace]
