Hi,

I had to abort last night's backup and now it is telling me I cannot delete the remaining VSP files which are taking up masses of room on the disk drives of my server.

I know they can be deleted by rebooting but I cannot do that until the very end of the day (if I get permission). Surely there must be a way to delete them without such a drastic step ....

I do hope you can help me.

Regards,
Jay

No there is no way to delete them without rebooting. They are being held open by vsp.sys which is a low level filter driver.

You should focus on why the job is failing, why AOFO is not working, or why the files are being left behind.

Typical steps are to exclude .vsp file extension from you antivirus software
