Hi all,

I have a Red Hat 9 system that I am setting up as an ftp server. Part of the requirements is that it have vsftp with ssl enabled. I have downloaded version 2.0.1 and changed the builddefs.sh file to reflect "#define VSF_BUILD_SSL". After make is run and it spits out my vsftpd.conf file, there is no "ssl_enable" line that is mentioned in the vsftpd.conf(5) man page. I'm pulling my hair out because the documentation on how to do this is either nonexistent or I just haven't found it yet...

I am running openssl version 0.9.7d.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Chris

Not really - you can't chroot users...which is important to me. I need the functionality of vsftp with the security of sftp...which is why I am trying to get the new version (2.0.1) working!

Interesting! But...I still want to get vsftp working. Just got an email from Chris Evans saying it looks like it's not picking up the systems ssl headers. Hmmmm...any ideas anyone?
