The server I am using has 2 NIC's, one for internal network use and the other for external network (i.e. surfing, terminal service, etc...). Everything seemed to be working fine. I was able to access the internet using the external nic as well as access the server via terminal services through an outside client. However, when I tried to configure Routing and Remote Access so that I could use VPN I lost the abiltity to surf via the 2nd nic (as well as terminal services). If I stop the RRAS service I am once again able to use the 2nd nic. In addition, although VPN appears to be set up correctly I am unable to connect from outside the network. I know I am missing something simple but I cannot figure it out. Please help!!!!!

Thanks in advance

Niksen,

Thanks for the suggestion. This showed that the default gateway changes from the external nic's gateway setting to the internal nics's gateway setting whenever RRAS is started. This would explain why I am not able to surf when RRAS is started. My next questions is why is this happening and how do I stop it?

Thanks again!
