Hello guys, I have a question. I have VPN done over the Sonicwall devices between US office and Germany. However I need to know how will the users will logon to our servers? Do I need to installed the users within the Users tab on the firewall? As of now I can only logon on from my server to the other via administrator logon but nothing else. Can logon with any other users. Sorry but this is my first time installing a VPN and need some help. I have folders setup with users permissions but users cant logon. They can see the server here in the US but no logon could be done. Please help

It is very nice to be important but it is very important to be nice.

Bombolini,
With our sonicwall VPN, once you make the VPN connection (which it sounds like you are getting) I think of that computer now being attached to my network as if it was plugged in locally. This means that in order to have access to your local domain (I am speaking of a Windows based network here) whatever the user is logged in as on his PC, that is what the PC is trying to authenticate as on your network.

Also, has the VPN user configured their PC to be part of your domain? Have you set up a domain account for that PC?

Hope this helps.

OK first I want to thank you for your fast response. The user is setup to be part of the domain where he/she is at. They are in Germany and they have their own domain. That user comes into my domain using the Terminal Server as well so he/she has an account on my server. When they are loggin on with they credentials they are denied

It is very nice to be important but it is very important to be nice.
