Ok, I have an ISA server that I've configured VPN access for (no problems) really like it. (now here's the ..but.. part) when I vpn in it's great, but I try to connect to the sql server, I can see from the log that the vpn connection is trying to connect to the ip address of the sql server, I get "Initated connection" and on the next line "Closed connection". So it looks like it's trying to pass through correctly. But when I'm trying to create a DSN or DSN-less connection, or use the network client utility and then try to connect with Enterprise manager it never finds the "sql server", I'm out of solutions and really need some help, I have a customer tomorrow that is opening a branch office and they want to VPN in and access this data.

Thanks in advance!!! :)

Ok, after hours and hours, I started looking for any log entries on the SQL server. Well I was looking at the server network utility, and noticed port 1130 was used not the default 1433, when I changed my connection on the VPN side (for my DSN) to 1130 it worked great. Just goes to show you, it's not what you know, but, what you find hacking around that makes the difference.
