I recently swapped out a Linksys BEF4SR1 (non-wireless) router with this new one. Now VPN does not work and all I get from a Win2k or WinXP VPN client is Error 721 after it indicates "Verifying User Name and Password". Linksys was of no help and the Firmware is v2.0.2. I assume their wireless routers are just crap. Port 1723 is forwarded...never needed port 47 or 500 before. DMZ does not work either.

Just was wondering if anyone else is having these problems and might have a solution.

Thanks.

CNS4us,

Though I've never used the WRT54G, I'm pretty sure the issue relates to GRE not being forwarded through the router. I don't think I've ever gotten a definitive on whether this router has telnet capabilties for command line options. Do you know if it does? It might exist on port 8023.
