vpn setup/tz170

Am having problems getting VPN up and running.

Router is a Zyxel Prestige 643 WAN Interface is a static public address on ADSL.

The Router LAN interface Connects to a Sonicwall TZ170 Firewall WAN interface. The network that connects the two is on 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.2.2.

The LAN interface of the Sonicwall is on another network.

I'v been onto Sonicwall tech support for two hours and upshot is that he tells me that I need another public ip address for the firewall? is this the case?

Has anyone got this kind of set up?

It makes sense to me that you would need another public address. We also have a TZ170 with its own public address behind our router and it works fine with VPN.

I have no idea about the capabilities of your router, but you might be able to get around it if you had some kind of "port-forwarding" set up from your router to your Sonicwall, forwarding all VPN ports directly to the Sonicwall box.
