VPN phone with Sonicwall TZ190 Enhanced

Has anyone had any luck get a vpn phone to work on this router?

havent tried the 190, but i know the 170 and 180 work good.

Yeah I have the info for a 170 but I guess maybe the 190 is too different.

Yes! We have it working at our office and one of our customer's offices.

The Avaya provided TZ170 instructions work well (be sure to use the settings for the Enhanced OS of the TZ190)...

One Gotcha: For the IKE ID just use "GroupVPN" and not "WAN GroupVPN".

I went by the tech tip and I keep getting an IKE Phase 2 no response on the phone.

When you plug in the ip phone at the remote site, you have to assign it a temporary ip address on that local network and if it does not discover the default gateway of the remote router, you have to enter that in also. Program all of the other setting on the ip phone as if you were installing it on the main site. Then, when the ip phone finishes initializing it will assgn itself the virtual 172.x.x.x ip address.

Google the error codes you get. it means it is connecting and passing phase 1.
