VPN phone issue 1

I am working with a Customer trying to get VPN phones working with Firebox x1250e firewall.

I can get the phone/firewall to talk, we get an IP on the phone, then the phone requests FTP files, the server shows the request but then says "TIMEOUT waiting for Ack Block#1"

I read this as firewall issue, just asking if anyone has had any issues simularly and where to look.



also when the phone doesnt have a call server assigined it (because it cant get to the tftp server)
says "Discovering 208.87.149.250"

this is not an IP of anyone involved with this... just wondering if there this IP means anything to any of you?
maybe some scrap of somthing from beta testing?

FYI phone 5610sw system is ip500v2
tftp server tftpd32

Allow the phone to use DHCP but statically assign the call server and TFTP server address. Also try using the system and/or Manager for TFTP server.... just in case

we have found tftp can be a little hit and miss on a firewall over a VPN tunnel.

Why do you want to use tftp anyway for the vpn phone?
Those phones can do http too and it works much better.
