I have setup windows 2000 server and made it my master AD domain controller. I configured routing & remote access manually, and disabled all the L2TP connections because i wont be using them. When i try and connect from a remote source, it asks me for my username/password/domain everytime. Access is granted under individual users and grant all is checked in the remote access policy. If i start a vpn session to another server, and then get on that server, i can vpn back in no problem. I am a lil confused on where my access problem is, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nate

You saying that asking for a username, password and domain is a problem? Wouldn't you want that for security, or am I missing something? Are you not getting in under your account?

Yeah, i want all of that for security purposes, i just cant login for some reason. I am wondering what I am missing or havent configured correctly. I checked my account and everything looks normal, allow access, etc. Any ideas?

just a thought but when i had similar problems like this a while back it was due to my encryption level. the server was set-up as 128 bit encryption and the nt 4 workstations needed the service pack 6a high installed to make it 128 bit aswell.

this may not apply but its worth looking into.

Hope it helps

Regards!!
