I have a IPO 500 v2 and have purchased a 9611 IP vpn phone and would like to place it at the owners home and set it up to work via vpn. The office has a Cisco RV110W vpn firewall and I have enabled the PPTP config and setup a user with id and password. I have also enabled vpn pass through. Has anyone done this? If so where do I start?

Thanks for your help!

Its not going to work. It needs to be IPSEC and not PPTP

That is barely a firewall.

You might have better luck configuring is as a H.323 remote phone and opening the relevant ports on the "firewall"

How do I set the phone up as a H.323 remote phone? And what ports would need to be open on the firewall?

I used ipsec with xauth. You need to configure the VPN on your firewall using ipsec with xauth. The enter the settings on the phone along with credentials.
