Help!

I've racked my brain, looked for answers here and on MS website.

Machine A is XP Pro. I've set the system for incoming connections, mapped 1753 to machine "A" IP address.

Machine B is XP home using dialup. When I try to connect I get TCP/IP reported error 733.

I've changes settings etc. Is there an article I can read that helps me out, or can someone suggest something? I cannot figure if this is on the server or client side.

Thanks in advance.
Danny

I'm assuming you meant you forward port 1723 as that's the VPN port. Also make sure IP 47 is forwarded. Most quality routers (My Siemens does) do this automatically when you forward 1723. Anyway, I've gotten this error before too and found something on it somewhere about making sure there are enough Ip address with DHCP to issue. That was the case with me. Somehow all the addressed had gotten burned up. But there were other possible fixes which included making sure you select the actualy VPN type and not autmatic on your client dialup connection. I just did a search for VPN error 733 at google and did find a ton of stuff. Hope this helps.
