When I wanted to access Volume Control, an error message prompt "There are active mixer devices available. You may install or activate mixer devices from the Control Panel.
I tried doing that, but nothing worked.
Any help shall be greatly appreciated

are you talking about the standard windows 98/xp volume control in the control panel?
