Volume issues with CICS?

Anyone experiencing receiver volume issues lately on the sets with latest 6.1 CICS? also one tech mentioned he was recording for vmail and the CP asked him to speak up! this is a transmitting issue you would think or could it be the CP having a receiving problem just like the sets?

With 6.1 software I think reciever volume defaults to "use set volume" instead of previosly "use system volume" as you know the user can turn down the volume on the set and it will stay low. Just a thought. Dave.

Dave the receiver volume controls what you hear not what you transmit. that level is fixed.

Curly, I've had a rash of bad T series hand sets with low xmit level. Dave is right though you should make sure the CP ports are set to system volume.

Yes maybe it's the T series then!

I failed to say that I have trouble shooted already, my fault!...just thought maybe a bad batch of CICS going around and was wondering if anyone noticed!

I had a T set strait from Nortel that had a bad handset.
When I replaced it the problem went away.

Must of been a bad batch or something. If i remember correctly it was made in 8/03 or 11/03.
