We're running an 81c. Following IP network problems which have now been resolved, voice traffic which should go over IP is still falling back to the PSTN.

Everything looks OK in LD60 and 96 as far as I can tell (though I had never used 60 or 96 before reading through this forum on Friday).

What I've tried so far:
dis dch 9
dis msdl 9
enl msdl 9 fdl
enl dch 9 fld.

Also reseated the card, re-enabled the loop and gone the enl fdl process again.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Jon

DCH 9 looks to be a QSIG link, not at Virtual DCH for VoIP.

Do you mean QSIG is the trunk for going to a gateway that translate to VoIP?

If so, give print of the routing going to that route:
LD 87 DSC or TSC
or LD 90 SPN or LOC
and LD 86 RLI used + DMI if used

Turn DCH monitoring on: LD 96 ENL MSGO 9 and ENL MSGI 9 then STAT MON. Give prints of all your commands and make a call that may produce a DCH trace

What type of media card do you have? SMC (singlewide card), ITG-P (doublewide pentium card) or is there a sig server in the mix?

Sorry, my mistake this is a QSIG link. From the switch it goes off to a voice interface card in a Cisco router.

Turning on MSGI/O produces no results when I make a call which should produce a trace.

Thanks for your help so far.

On the TTY port you are connected you must have MTC and BUG to display DCH monitoring traces.

You may have a trunk restriction if still no calls going on that trunk. Check TGAR/TARG in set configuration and route configuration.

This is now resolved. There was a problem yesterday with the PSU for the shelf where this card sits. After that was fixed I brought up the QSIG trunk and it started working as expected.

To follow up on dlesap's previous post, there didn't appear to be any useful output from the DCH monitoring traces - only startup/shutdown messages, though I had meant to post these as requested in case they contained anything meaningful to someone who knows what they are looking at. Now that things are working I can see calls going through.

The only difference I can now see is that when I do a 'stat msdl x full' in ld96, there is an activation date showing against 'EQSIG GF DATA FILE', where previously it just said 00/00/00.

Thank you for your time and your help.
