Voicemail

Howdy all,

Have two questions that a customer would like to see. (If Possible)

Dealing with a Nortel Switch (We will say North and South for location reference, and South has a 603preix where North has 605) voicemail indicators. Both sites currently using Meridian Mail and Ver 25 for Nortel O/S.

The User would like it if some one calls his Phone South, it would ring in the North (I could just have him do the CFW 8 on his key, but just incase he forgets to "turn on) at the same time?

If that is not possible, that is fine... the other main issue is to have his South Mailbox send some indicator to his North Phone to show him he has V-mail awaiting for him. I know about XMWK keys... but I can not use more than 4 digits, and I would guess I need to use the 603XXXX to tap the south Switch.

Thoughts or tell him him to stick to one office.

Same network.. I would like to say yes. (same company anyways just a diffent site). Each ahs their own M-Mail.

I've been off Mermail for awhile, on CP. I'm not sure it will work, can't remember, but you could try Remote notification on south mailbox, with a target number of North mailbox.

how do i do remote notification on meridian vmail to mobile?

If you have Tie lines and CDP between sites, you could set just one of the phones to use the same voice mail as the other.

If no Tie Line, Meridian Mail Networking would be second choice - you probably don't have that or wold have mentioned it.

if neither of those, remote notification would be next.


Must be allowed in Class of service, then can be modified on mailbox - select more details on remote notification and enter number, equipment type (pager, phne), and call back number. Be sure to allow number dialed in RPL
