Hi all.

I have IP office voicemail set to copy vmail messages to email.
There is a voicemail server connected to the IPO.
When a message is left users get a .txt email attachment instead of .mp3
What could be wrong? Want users to get .mp3 attachment of the messages.

What does the txt file say?
You should get a .wav file.

"Trying is the first step to failure..." - Homer

You won't get a .mp3 but a .wav.

This is VMPro? ("There is a voicemail server connected to the IPO").

Could be the server running out of recourses, not able to convert the sound clip to .wav.
What does the trace tell you when sending a VM to Email? Any emails pending, etc?

Also there could be something messing up the file extn name.
Have you tried saving the attachment and changing the .txt to .wav?
Look at the file size, it should be bigger than just a few KBytes

Kind regards

Gunnar

Thank you all.
The problem was with the email server which was blocking .wav files.
