Wondering if anyone can help
The Administrator password had been changed and since forgotten, and I read somewhere that to reset the password we could delete the userlist.dat file that sits in /opt/vmpro/accounts.
I've tried this but unfortunately it hasn't worked, it created a new file however when trying the default Administrator password (I assume is Administrator ?" it still say's invalid username or password.

Has anyone had this issue before?

I guess if we're unable to set it back to default, is there anyway we can export the current config?

the version is 9.1.5.0 Build 2, and it sits on Linux build on VMWare.

Thanks in advance,
Owen

I guess you have referred authentication enabled and so the VMPro userlist.dat will be ignored. You have to login into security settings with Manager to adjust users and passwords.

I dont recall enabling that. If that is the case, I can log in to VM pro with user/password set on the IP office? (I assume that is what you mean by Manager) ?

The Application Server has it's own IPO service to handle routing and security users. That's independent from the real IPO that handles your phone calls.

Ah ok, and how do I turn that off? Is there a way I can reset the password for the login at :7071 and :7070 on the web via the console?

Referred authentication can be enabled/disabled in 7071. If enabled you have to configure security with manager, if disabled deleting the userlist.dat and a service restart should work.
