Right. I have a customer with a 403 version 3.2 (67)with VMPro whose license dongle has died. We will upgrade them to to an IP500 at the end of January but have not yet ordered the gear.

I decided the easiest way out of the situation was voicemail lite. But for some reason it does not want to connect, neither does call status. Monitor and Manager do work fine.

Currently the only 3.2 software I have is 3.2 (69) which i expect was close enough to work. But doesn't.
I have tried to upgrade to 3.2(69) and this constantly fails.

It has been about 7 or 8 years since I have done trouble shooting on voicemail lite so I thought I would try the brains trust here before buying an answer machine for the company over Xmas.

I find it is too close to xmas, with motivation lacking and the prospect of much free beer, this is the last chance for my last voicemail lite experience.

Any simple ideas or do I go with the answer machine?

I have to agree with Amriddle

VM Light is a no-brainer (& has not changed since V2.1)
if the program is running then it is almost certainly a network issue

it may also be useful to click run to turn on the VM event log

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

We're settling for an answer machine. Down here in the southern hemisphere companies shut down over xmas and new years returning on 6 January 2014.

Answer machine says they are closed for holiday period, they kicked me out at 12pm so they could go home and start partying.

Looking forward to VMpro on the UC module at their new site.

Merry Xmas

LOL, these UC module still have issues so i would hold my breath :)
When they work they are great by the way.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

UCM is a great concept but at the moment a constant tightrope walk. Whenever you get the chance always push for a separate IP Office Application Server. Much more reliable and, if problems do strike, much more serviceable. Just ignore anyone saying it has to be on an expensive Avaya supplied server. Find a local Centos compatible source with hardware RAID1 support.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
