Hi,

We are running IP Office v 4.2(14) with Voicemail Lite.

If you set up VM for a user, you get the option of setting a phone number to dial if the end user dials 0 for reception (and in fact if they dial 2 or 3 you can set other breakouts).

I want to do similar with a Hunt group, but that facility doesn't seem to exist for a hunt group.

I have tried setting a single extension in the hunt group, and setting up VM on that extension instead, but VM never answers if you call the group (though it does if you call the extension).

Anyone got any ideas how I can achieve what I want, without buying VM Pro?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

You can't, the voicemail always goes to the original targets mailbox i.e the groups, you can't 0 breakout from a group on lite.

There's no way of doing a dumb transfer (is that what they call a blind transfer?) to an extension or anything then?

It seems a shame to buy VM Pro for such a simple requirement.

THanks,

Chris

i guess its an example of why VM lite is free. its very feature light (geddit :))

Yeah. I've started to notice that :) Avaya does seem to need a license code for just about everything :)

It's bizarre that if you get the embedded voicemail (which I thought VM Lite was supposed to be better than), you get extra features such as Auto Attendant, which would solve the issue.

Hey ho. Time to tell my boss he needs to spend more money!

Embedded costs you money, lite is free :)

To be fair, i try always install an IPO with VMPro, it unlocks half the features. And when people say "can it do this?" you get to say "yes it can, now pay me to program it" :)

lite isnt "free" anymore really, you need a std to pro upgrade licence on an IP500 these days to make lite work....

go for an embedded card......

Not on R5 you don't, they have dropped the upgrade licence..........or so I hear ;-)
