Good morning. New around here and hoping I can get some help getting our voicemail back up and running.

All users get a fast busy signal when trying to retrieve their voicemail. I can't get the link to start. When I do a status>link>1 it shows the link status as restarting. If I busyout the link it changes from restarting to out of service. When I release the link it goes back to restarting.

I have rebooted the audix system. I have stopped and restarted the audix system.

I have done a busyout on the pbx side, then busyout on the audix side, release on audix, and release on pbx. I have changed the status of the link on enable to "n" and back to "y".

I have checked that all of the extensions in the hunt group for audix to make sure they ring.

As far as I know the voicemail system was working Monday morning. I believe the only change that was made was switching the name and password for a subscriber. It is possible that our tech also reset our bios defaults.

I am at my wits end. I tried to get support from Avaya and they pointed me to find a local company. I have called all of the local companies listed in their partners directory and they no longer exist or do not support audix. If anybody can point me toward a company that offers support or give me other advice I would be extremely grateful.

I would check those bx25 connections as you should have a link lite lit on the tn765 board, so make sure those connections are checked on each end.

I reseated the TN765 card and did a system reset 1. For a few seconds when it came back up I had a green light on the card. Then it went away and there are no lights.

If I do a test data 7050 the result is ABORT with an error code of 1030.

I may try a system resest 5 and reseating the card again.

Thoughts?

Wow that was a control card which should never be reset while pbx is running, if you can power down pbx, then reset the card and then power pbx back up, you may have a bad tn765 card, if this doesn't work I would call in a qualified vendor to look at this for you. Where exactly are you located

I had the tech in this morning. I will ask him if there are other vendors. I think the next nearest is in Colorado.

you can still purchase these on the secondary market but I still would try the power down and reseating of the card

I don't see a shutdown or power down command for the pbx. Is there a correct procedure.

I know I should shutdown audix first.

no leave audix running power shut down is in the back of the pbx a double toggle switch on the very bottom of pbx

We got it fixed. It was a setting in the system bios on the Audix side. The PS2/Mouse setting got enabled and needed to be disabled. Apparently a link cannot be established if this port is enabled.

Thanks again for all of your suggestions.

wow 1st of all who in the hell made a change to the Audix bios which should of never been changed, so when we help you we assume no one is messing around with bios settings. but glad it's working

So do tell, how did you know that a change was made to the bios in the 1st place?

Yes indeed..... what finally pointed you in this direction ...... something is afoot watson!!![pc]
