Hi, is documented by Avaya in "Voicemail Pro 3.2 installation and Maintenance Guide" on Page 55, Section "Installing Voicemail Email -> How Voicemail Email Messages Look". The manual say : the parts of the message (subject, message text, body, ...) are changed if modify registry settings. I think, windows registry by "regedit" program.
I need to modify the alert messages sent by VoiceMail Pro when I has a voice mail.
I changed the EMAILSUBJECT & EMAILTEXT values. After I restarted the Voice Mail Pro and I see VoiceMail Messages not changed. Why???
The messages is look as :

Subject : Message Vocal (208 > Extn207) De:208

Text : Message vocal IP Office redirigé

The messages is in French and my VoiceMail Language is Spanish!!!!

More data :

VoiceMail Pro versions 3.1 & 3.2 (15)
Language : Spanish

Thanks..

Start > Run : type regedit, hit enter and goto the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Network Alchemy\Voicemail\Directories

Maybe it is a bug, maybe your VM PC is set to french locale, contact your distributor.

did you stop the vm services while making the changes

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

I saw a post like this on a different forum last week. Although it wasn't publcised in documentation, this was always available to change in the registry on lots of previous versions.....and it never worked!

I contacted a guy I used to work with at a distributor and he's confirmed it still doesn't work. Although did suggest that it might work if you use MAPI rather than SMTP (that's what I always test with as it's so much easier to setup). Try using MAPI and see if it works now.

If not, just notch it up as yet another "feature" that Avaya say will work but in reality doesn't. Then log it as a bug and they might get around to fixing it in a future maintenance release.
