I changed a line from one person to another in Site Administration. No big deal. Removed the old name, added the new. Reset the mailbox.

I got a call later informing there is no voicemail button on the station. I asked if it was there before, and was told the phone was a training phone and the manager wasn't sure.

There's a bunch of bridged appearances on this phone, but I can't find a vm button. I looked on a few other stations and don't see a vm button them either. However, they tell me they have one.

I normally only handle small changes, displays and voicemail on the Avaya equipment. I guess this is a small change, but I can't figure it out.

Can this add/change be done through change station in GEDI?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

If you are talking about dialing into voice to retrieve your message, then that is setup in an Abbreviate dial list. You would have to find what the voice mail main number is. Then check the abbreviated dial list system to find which list number use it. then program a button to use that list and number.

Hi thank you for replying.

The attendant can dial vm with no problems. Apparently this facility had a programmed button on their phone to automatically dial their vm. Similar to the Cisco phones we use. All they would have to do is enter the pw and not have to enter their extension.

I rarely admin this system for them. They don't hire anymore so changes are few and far between.

The why you do that is in the Abbreviated dial list.

Look in the abbreviated dial system list and look for the Voice mail system lead number.

Or check the phones that are working for an abbreviated dial button.

The abbreviated dialing list is the same as everybody elses

List 1: Personal 1
List 2: Personal 2
List 3: system

First do the following command “list hunt”
Look for the one label Audix or voice mail. Write down the extension for that hunt group.
Then do a “disp abb sy”
Look in that list for the enter that has the number you wrote down for the voice mail.
Write down the DC code of that enter.
Next do “disp stat xxxx” (where xxxx is the extension you want to look at)
And look for the following button
“abrv-dial list:3 DC:XX” (Where xx is the DC code you wrote down)

If there is not a button programmed that why, decide which button you want to use and do the following.
“cha stat xxxx” and program the button “abrv-dial list:3 DC:XX” (Where xx is the DC code you wrote

Got it. Thanks @DAVIDPAYNE. It's 96, Thank you for your help!
