Voiceflex losing its Global Crossing account and all the numbers!!

Any of you UK guys got the email at 4.40pm about this?
apparently GC is terminating its 0207 and 0208 inbound numbers to Voiceflex from this Monday 9am...they say Ofcom wont do anything about it and GC refuses to forward them to any other external numbers.

Is this for real?! we have a LOT of clients on sip trunks with 0208 0207 numbers and apparently they are all going dead!! yes those who were having 08xx numbers forwarded we can solve by getting new numbers and changing the forward with provider. what about those who bought 0208/0207 ones outright?!

Is this even ALLOWED in the UK by Ofcom rules?!

If its all true, i'm just stunned....

We can only apologise for this scare. I am sure you have since been updated that these numbers were not ceased.

GC were eventually forced to keep the numbers in service. We were also shocked at the stance taken by them, but in the end no numbers were taken out of service.

We are currently working hard to ensure all the numbers are transferred away from GC by means of geographic number porting.

Once again, our apologies for the uncertainty this has caused. We remain committed to providing you with a reliable service.

I do not work with them but some provider could look at this instead of putting there heads in the sand
